The book Secret of The Andes by Ann Nolan Clark is about this boy called Cusi that has been living most of his life with an old man called Chuto and with all his llamas because he was abandoned by his family a long time ago and Chuto found him. He has been taking care of him, feeding him, and giving him a home. Now Cusi is a young boy and he helps Chuto with all his daily work. They went on a trip to the salt pits and there they looked for salt in the salt mines. When they got home again they were really tired. Now chuto has told Cusi to go to Cuzco to find a family over there. I can’t wait to read what comes next!

    Secret of the Andes
I like this book because it’s very interesting. This is the first book I’ve read about two Incas in the Andes. The main character Cusi is very interesting, he belongs to the royalty and he’s going on a trip to see who he is. Chuto which is like Cusi’s stepfather is sad because Cusi is leaving hidden valley, which is the place where they live and Chuto and Cusi had always been together since the day Chuto adopted Cusi. And Cusi is taking with him his pet llama, Misti

    The Secret of the Andes

This week my group read the chapters 10-13. The chapters 10-13 are about Cusi finding a pair of golden sandals. According to Chuto the pair of golden sandals is a sign. Then Chuto says Cusi is ready to go out to the real world on his own. Cusi wanted to find a family to live with so he goes to the family under the mountain. When Cusi went to find that family under the mountain the family wasn’t there. This made me and Cusi surprised. I think the next chapters will be interesting because I think it will talk about how Chuto finds a new family or finds his own family.

    The Outsiders
    Author: S.E. Hinton
The outsiders is an exciting novel about a kid named Ponyboy and his gang. The gang takes care of each other and fight with other gangs. Ponyboy has two brothers named Darry and Sodapop. The gangs get in a lot of trouble like when Johnny, a member of the gang kills someone from the rival gang. This is a very good book and I recommend it to everyone.

The Secret of the Andes is a book that I really do not like. This book is about an Indian boy that does not have a family and he lives with Chuto. Chuto is like his guardian, he is the one that takes care of him and gives him food. Chuto and Cusi (the kid) go to a trip to the place that Chuto found Cusi and to Salt Pits.

The Book Secret of the Andes by Ann Nolan Clark is about a village boy learning to grow up and he wants to know where he comes from and who is his family. Cusi, the boy, lives in Hidden Valley and Chuto is his supposed father. They take care of many llamas, which give them all the necessary items to live. This book is written a bit in an Indian Form and in some parts it’s confusing. At the beginning this book was boring but it got more and more interesting each chapter.

    The Outsiders
    By: S.E. Hilton

The Outsiders is a book about a gang of greasers (low class people) that live in the streets. They are always against the Socs, the rich people. Ponyboy is the main character, his mother and father died, so he lives with his brothers, Sodapop and Darry. The other members of the gang are: Johnny, Two-Bit, Dally, and Steve. They all take care of and protect each other. The book is very interesting and the events are always unexpected, you just want to keep reading more and more!

    Secret of the Andes

I’m reading a book called Secret of the Andes and its author is Ann Nolan Clark. The main characters of the story are Cusi and Chuto. This story is about a kid called Cusi that lives in the valleys with an adult called Chuto. The thing is that they make journeys for many things and the kid (Cusi) wants to learn more about his life and his family, because he doesn’t remember when he was a little kid. I think this book is really good and interesting but in the first six chapters is really boring but if you keep on reading you will like this book.

The book I am reading is to, not real I mean an Indian is not going to find a baby when you are saying HI to the sun. And it’s always about Cusi a kid that supposedly is royalty. A man magically appears to teach Cusi how to talk in Indian. And his llama leads him to sandals made of gold.

My book is The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. It is a very entertaining story about a street gang (greasers/poor kids) that always are fighting against their rival gang the socs (socials/rich kids). The main character is a boy called Ponyboy. He and his gang go through a lot of exciting moments. But when one of Ponyboy’s gang members kills a rival member, he and his best friend Johnny are forced to run away.

The Book the Outsiders By: S.E Hilton

“The Outsiders” Is a bout a gang. The members of the gang are in the lower class. Pony boy the main character, faces many difficult obstacles which he has to learn how to manage it by his self. The story takes place in New York a couple of years ago. Till now I have liked the story because it isn’t either slow or fast. The author expresses actions in a nice rhythm. Also the story is interesting because the things that happen are exciting. Pony’s brothers, Soda and Darry help pony throughout the story with some advice. Members of the gang like Dally and Johnny, also help Pony when he has problems with his brothers. Pony will have to face the most challenging obstacle in his life. Can he make it? You find out.

    SECRET OF THE ANDES

    By: ANN NOLAN CLARK

I’m currently reading Secret of the Andes . It tells about a young Indian boy, Cusi, and the old one, Chuto. They live together (they are not father and son, Chuto found Cusi in a nearby tree) in a place called the Hidden Valley. There they take care of a herd of llamas. Cusi has one for himself named Misti. Just recently Chuto and Cusi have been shredding llamas. From these llamas they benefit from sandals, ponchos etc…. Every year Chuto takes two yearly trips to the valley below and gives llamas away to some families that reside there. This year for the first time Cusi is allowed to pick the llamas. The story has a very intriguing plot. Clark tells the story perfectly and creates another world inside the readers head.

I am reading Secret of the Andes by Ann Nolan Clark. It is about a boy named Cusi who lives with The Old One, Chuto. They live in Hidden Valley. Cusi shreds the llamas that live with them on Hidden Valley. They use the llamas to make shoes clothing and sometimes for food. Cusi has no family. Chuto found Cusi when he was little and from there on he has taken care of him. There is a family who lives below Hidden Valley. Everyday Cusi watches them with the hope that one day he will have one. Cusi sets a trip to go and find a family. He takes 8 llamas including Misti, Cusi’s llama. I like this book even though it is a little confusing in some parts. It is a very interesting book.

Now they will continue to look for a sugar bowl that has a huge secret and find it before a villain named Count Olaf does.

The book I finished reading today is called “Clementine”. Today I read about Clementine finding about a surprise party being given to her because of her saving the apartment from the pigeons poop. She first didn’t know about it and when told she thought that parties are only given when it is your birthday or when you are said goodbye. So because it wasn’t her birthday it should be a goodbye party so she became very sad. But, she finally found out it was a party to thank her so she became very happy and thankful for all she had. This book is great and I recommend it to all of you readers!

    School Dance

I’m reading Chicken Soup for the Teen Soul and it really isn’t just one story it is many stories by real teens. I’m going to tell you about one story called school dance. School dance is about this guy who isn’t nervous at the dance but is nervous when a slow song comes on and all the guys ask a girl to dance. He doesn’t know how to ask a girl or where to hold her waist so it’s not awkward or how to dance. By the end of the story he finally asks a girl he wanted to ask to dance. It all goes well and he did great. Hope you think my review was good and hope you read the book.

    XOXO,
    Angela

I just read the book “Twilight” by Stephanie Meyer. It is all about this girl, Isabella Swan, that moves to a place called Forks to live with her dad. There she meets this strange, but handsome guy named Edward Cullen. Over time they fall in love with each other, but Isabella at the same time discovers an amazing that has been kept in within Edward’s family for years now. I highly recommend this book and discover what the big secret is all about!

I’m continuing to read “The Grim Grotto” which is the eleventh book of “A Series of Unfortunate Events”. This time, Klaus Violet and Sunny are trying to decifer a poem that was sent by a friend called Quigley Quagmire. But Fiona which was one of their friends betrayed them and joined Count Olaf. So now the Baudelaires are alone again trying to reach Hotel Denoument which is a place where V.F.D. (which means Voulenteer Fire Department) is having a meeting, before Olaf burns it down.

  • 27    Jose Fernandez // Dec 12, 2008 at 3:50 pm

In this part of the book the Baudelaires escaped from Olaf’s submarine in their own submarine. The Baudelaires are now going to Briny Beach to meet with V.F.D. before their important meeting in the morning.

  • 28    Jose Fernandez // Dec 17, 2008 at 5:16 pm

I am starting to read the twelfth book of “A Series of Unfortunate Events” called “The Penultimate Peril”. In this book, the Baudelaires are going to dress up as concierges in Hotel Denoument so the people don’t recognize them because there are voulenteers but there may also be villains. And get the sugar bowl (which contains a huge secret) before any villain does.

  • 29    Jose Fernandez // Dec 18, 2008 at 3:23 pm

The baudelaires just changed into their concierge outfit. As Kit Snicket had said they were going to find a voulenteer named Frank that was going to help them. But they needed to be careful with his twin brother Ernest which is a villain. The Baudelaires already met both of them but they don’t know which is which but they suspect the second manager that talked to them was Ernest and that Frank was the real one.
